Former Los Angeles Lakers owners Joey and Jesse Buss are potential investors in French EuroLeague team ASVEL.
ASVEL has long been considered one of the teams that might leave the elite league, but they’ve changed their mind and will continue to play in it. Now, they are ready to take a step further and secure significant funds.
Joey and Jesse Buss and their fund, Buss Sports Capital, aren’t the only ones interested in investing in ASVEL, which will have at least two more investors.
As it’s already reported by numerous media outlets and Eurohoops sources confirm, the first player expected to arrive in Villeurbanne is Armoni Brooks, who will receive approximately 4.5 million euros over two years.
However, numerous other names are also mentioned, and ASVEL is also interested in acquiring Silvan Francisco, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot, Frank Ntilikina, and even Gerschon Yabusele is a potential target for the team, which will be led by Tony Parker from the bench next season.
ASVEL finished the previous EuroLeague season in last place in the standings with only eight wins and 30 losses.
