Johannes Thiemann will reportedly become part of Bayern Munich, the current German champion competing in the EuroLeague.
According to journalist Robert Heusel, everything is ready for Thiemann’s return to Germany, after the national team player left Japan, where he played for the past two seasons.
The 32-year-old German, who can play both as a power forward and center, started his career at Brose Bamberg, where he stayed until 2016. He played two seasons for Ludwigsburg and spent the majority of his career at Alba Berlin, where he played from 2018 to 2024.
For the past two years, he played for Gunma Crane Thunders. Notably, Thiemann has been a five-time champion of the German Bundesliga, and his career highlights include winning gold medals with the German national team at the 2023 FIBA World Cup and EuroBasket 2025.
