Panathinaikos has officially announced the departure of guard T.J. Shorts, bringing an end to his time with the Greek powerhouse.

The club confirmed the news with an emotional farewell message on social media, thanking Shorts for his commitment and contributions during his stay in Athens.

“Thank you, T.J. Shorts! You left everything on the floor and made every moment special. Wishing you all the best on your next chapter! Once a green, always a green!”

While Panathinaikos did not announce Shorts’ next destination, the club’s farewell message suggests that both parties part ways on good terms as the 27-year-old prepares for the next chapter of his career: Valencia Basket.

Shorts averaged 8.1 points and 2.9 assists in 16 minutes over 17 games in the EuroLeague, 11.8 points and 4.1 assists in 20 minutes over 31 games in the Stoiximan GBL, and 13 points and 2 assists in 23 minutes against PAOK in the Semifinal phase of the Greek Cup, which Panathinaikos won.
