Moustapha Fall is a new player of Panathinaikos. He signs 2+1 contract with the “greens”.
There haven’t been many players who have worn the jerseys of both Olympiacos and Panathinaikos in their careers, but it seems we have a new one.
Moustapha Fall, who played for Olympiacos for five seasons and won the EuroLeague with them a month ago, is now a new member of Panathinaikos. However, he will have to pass medical examinations on Thursday to officially become a member of Panathinaikos.
After the arrival of Zeljko Obradovic at Panathinaikos, this is the first signing by the Athens club. On the other hand, PAO has parted ways with Marius Grigonis, Kenneth Faried, and TJ Shorts.
Giannakopoulos on Fall
After the signing, the president of Panathinaikos, Dimitris Giannakopoulos, gave his statement.
“As you all know, Moustapha Fall has been undergoing his naturalization proccess for 1.5 years, with the essential part of it having been completed. The formality remains for his Greek identity card to be issued.
Therefore, always remaining true to our principles, that we do not Hellenize athletes, we are in the very happy position that Moustapha Fal will be a member of the Panathinaikos family for the next 2+1 years.
We continue to consider fast-track Hellenizations and especially honorary naturalizations wrong because they are not for the benefit of Greek basketball and the Greek National Team, which is above all. The best is ahead of us.”
