Kosner Baskonia has reached an agreement with D.J. Stewart Jr. on a two-year contract. The 26-year-old, 1.97m guard becomes the first signing of Paolo Galbiati’s new era and arrives from Cedevita Olimpija, where he spent the last three seasons.

Stewart began his basketball career in the NCAA with Mississippi State Bulldogs during the 2019-20 season. Four years later, he made the move to Europe, joining Slovenian side Cedevita Olimpija, where he competed in the ABA League and EuroCup through the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

Last season, Stewart averaged 12.7 points, 4.2 rebounds, and a 14.4 performance index rating in domestic competition, while posting 13.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, and a 14.4 performance index rating in the EuroCup.

With his arrival in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Kosner Baskonia adds a versatile player capable of scoring, rebounding, and contributing on both ends of the floor, while bringing valuable European experience to the roster.
