Valencia parts ways with Darius Thompson

Valencia Basket has officially announced the departure of Darius Thompson after reaching a mutual agreement to terminate the remaining two years of his contract.

The 30-year-old guard leaves the club after one season, during which he helped Valencia capture the first domestic double in the club’s history by winning the Liga Endesa title and the Endesa Supercopa.

Thompson joined Valencia from Anadolu Efes in the summer of 2025 and appeared in 76 games for the club. He averaged 8.2 points, 3.1 assists and 1.8 rebounds per game while shooting 36.6% from three-point range.

In its official statement, Valencia thanked Thompson for his professionalism, commitment and dedication throughout his time with the club and wished him success in the next chapter of his career.
