Sylvain Francisco has signed a three-year contract to join LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne, the team announced on Tuesday.
New head coach Tony Parker had previously confirmed the deal with the 28-year-old point guard, who earned All-EuroLeague First Team honors last season with Zalgiris.
“LDLC ASVEL represents history, heritage, and a grand project. I think that since I was little, it’s a club whose jersey everyone would have loved to wear and for which they would have wanted to play, so it’s a childhood dream come true,” stated the Creteil native.

Francisco will wear the number 3 jersey as he brings his signature clutch energy and extensive continental experience to the team’s backcourt for both EuroLeague and Betclic Elite campaigns. After five years playing abroad, the French national team guard has returned home to play for ASVEL.
His journey began in Florida with high school hoops before he launched his professional career back in France with Metropolitans 92. He gained crucial development during stints with Paris and Chorale Roanne before making a big move to Spain’s Liga Endesa, where he steered Baxi Manresa all the way to the Basketball Champions League Final.
Next, he sharpened his game under legendary coach Vassilis Spanoulis at Peristeri bwin. That success paved the way for his official EuroLeague debut with FC Bayern Munich, where he helped secure a domestic double by winning both the easyCredit BBL and the BBL-Pokal.
His career truly reached new heights during a breakout stint with Zalgiris. He dominantly led the team to multiple domestic titles while posting a career-best stat line of over 16.5 points and 6.5 assists per EuroLeague game last season.
A fixture of Les Bleus, the explosive floor general proudly represented France at both the 2023 FIBA World Cup and EuroBasket 2025.
