Exoduses continue at Barça. The Blaugrana team, which has already announced several changes in recent days, has made official the departures of Nico Laprovittola and Youssoupha Fall.
The Argentine point guard arrived in Barcelona in 2021 and has been important for the club since his arrival. The club has issued a statement announcing his departure:
“The bond between FC Barcelona and the player Nico Laprovittola has come to an end. The Argentine point guard’s contract ended last June 30 and, with these lines, FC Barcelona wishes to publicly thank him for his commitment to Barça and wishes him the best of luck in the future.
‘Lapro’ has shown his talent on the court and, due to injuries over the last two seasons, has made a great physical effort to be able to finish the 25/26 season competing at the highest level. He leaves as a much‑loved figure at the Palau Blaugrana and with five titles to his name: the 2022 Cup, the 2023 League and the Catalan Leagues of 2022, 2023 and 2024.”
At the same time, on Thursday morning, the club also issued a statement confirming that Youssoupha Fall is leaving. The center returned last summer, despite being cut a few days earlier, and played an important role in the recent Playoffs.
These departures are added to those of Thomas Satoransky, Jan Vesely, Willy Hernangómez, Juani Marcos, Myles Cale and Miles Norris, making a list of eight names who will not continue compared to last season. This is in addition to the absence of Xavi Pascual, who will coach Dubai.
