Athens – The traditional EuroLeague Head Coaches Board (EHCB) Congress is once again taking place in Athens, bringing together hundreds of coaches from across Europe and beyond from July 2 to 5 at the Telekom Center.

As every year, the event features some of the biggest names in European basketball, who will spend four days sharing their knowledge and coaching philosophies.

The opening day began with a welcome address from EHCB President Dimitris Itoudis, who greeted the participants before the first on-court clinic officially got underway.

Former Olympiacos, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Crvena zvezda head coach Giannis Sfairopoulos, together with his long-time assistant Vassilis Geragotellis, opened the basketball program with their presentation “Low Post Trap: Defense – Offense”, demonstrating their concepts in front of hundreds of coaches in attendance.

Panathinaikos owner Dimitris Giannakopoulos also briefly stopped by at the beginning of the Congress.

Later in the day, Sergio Scariolo delivered his lecture “Multiple Ways to Get to the Post”, before conducting an interactive EHCB Workshop with the participants.

The Congress will continue over the next three days with lectures and workshops from some of the most respected coaches in Europe, including Šarūnas Jasikevičius, Xavi Pascual, Saša Obradović, Jurica Golemac, Pablo Laso, and many others, once again confirming the EHCB Congress as one of the premier coaching events on the European basketball calendar.
