Valencia announced this Friday that Jaime Pradilla has officially left the club after a great season for Valencia.
Pedro Martinez’s team, who is expected to soon take over Real Madrid, won the Endesa League and played in the Final Four of the EuroLeague, with Pradilla being part of this collective.
However, after six seasons in Valencia, the time has come for a departure, and the power forward is also expected to join Real Madrid.
For this departure, Valencia also earned money, as Pradilla’s buyout clause was paid.
Announcement by Valencia
Spanish international power forward Jaime Pradilla is leaving Valencia Basket after the full amount of the buyout clause included in his contract was paid and he chose a different proposal from the Club’s offer to continue his professional career. He therefore brings his time as a taronja to an end after six seasons and 390 appearances for our men’s first team.
During the season that has just concluded, in which he signed a contract extension until 2028 last February, Jaime was one of the key players in helping the team win the Liga Endesa and Supercopa Endesa titles. He played a total of 86 games, averaging 8.4 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2 assists for a performance index rating of 12.1.
The Club would like to thank Jaime Pradilla for his professionalism, commitment and hard work throughout the time he defended the taronja jersey and wishes him all the very best for the future, both professionally and personally.
Six seasons as a taronja
Jaime Pradilla arrived in Valencia in the summer of 2020 from Casademont Zaragoza and went on to make a total of 390 appearances, placing him sixth on Valencia Basket’s all-time list for games played. Across his career as a taronja, he averaged 6.1 points and 3.8 rebounds for a performance index rating of 8, showing remarkable improvement season after season.
During his time at Valencia Basket, Pradilla added the 2025-26 Liga Endesa and Supercopa Endesa titles to his list of honours. He was also named to the Best Young Team of the 2021-22 season, and this summer the Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) recognised him as the “Best Spanish Player” at the 7th Spanish Basketball Awards Gala.
Throughout his time as a taronja, Jaime Pradilla became a regular member of the Spanish National Team, achieving his greatest international success by winning the gold medal at the 2022 EuroBasket. As a Valencia Basket player, he also represented Spain at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and at the 2022 and 2025 EuroBasket tournaments.
A historic player despite his youth
Although he leaves Valencia Basket at just 25 years of age, Jaime Pradilla already ranks among the Club’s all-time leaders in several statistical categories. In addition to being sixth in total appearances, he is second in EuroLeague games played for Valencia Basket (122) and eighth in Liga Endesa appearances (216). He also ranks eleventh in all-time scoring (2,385 points) and fourth in rebounds (1,488).
