Patrick Baldwin Jr. is close to finalizing a deal to sign with Serbian powerhouse Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet, according to a report from Serbian outlet Meridian Sport on Saturday morning.
The 23-year-old forward is currently active as an unrestricted free agent in the NBA, but seems poised to make his move to the EuroLeague after spending the last four years operating across the Washington Wizards, Golden State Warriors, Sacramento Kings, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers, and various rosters in the G League. The former consensus five-star high school recruit most recently finished the 2025–26 season on a two-way contract with the Sacramento Kings, splitting his time with their minor league affiliate in Stockton.
Selected by the Warriors with the 28th overall pick of the 2022 NBA Draft, presented by State Farm, the seven-foot winger brought high expectations into the professional ranks following his collegiate career under his father at UW-Milwaukee. Baldwin Jr. accumulated 105 appearances in the NBA. Over his four-year career, he averaged 3.6 points and 2.0 rebounds per game, though he truly excelled during his extensive minor league stints.
His projected arrival would represent another massive roster upgrade for the Belgrade-based club, which has been incredibly active in the summer market ahead of the 2026–27 season. If the final details are ironed out, Baldwin Jr. will join a heavily reconstructed squad that has already secured high-profile commitments from Chris Jones, David Kramer, and Johnathan Motley, alongside an agreement with local prospect Vojin Medarevic.
