Shortly after arriving in Thessaloniki to complete his move to PAOK, Cedi Osman shared an emotional farewell message to Panathinaikos fans, insisting that his departure is “not goodbye.”
The 31-year-old Turkish international posted a highlights video from his two seasons with the Greens and thanked the club’s supporters, teammates, coaches, and staff for what he described as two unforgettable years.
“Dear Panathinaikos family,
This is not goodbye. It is a message of gratitude.
Some journeys become unforgettable not because of how long they last, but because of how deeply they touch your heart. For the past two years, your incredible support always made me feel at home. Every chant, every message, every second I spent on the court meant so much more because of you. I will carry the genuine bond we built together with me for the rest of my life.
Of course, I wish this story could have lasted longer. But my own desire alone could not change the way it ended. Sometimes life takes you down paths you never imagined. I leave with immense gratitude and memories that will always hold a special place in my heart.
It was a tremendous honor to wear this jersey. I want to thank my teammates, the coaching staff, and everyone at the club with whom I shared the same passion and the same dreams over these past two years. I spent two wonderful years surrounded by wonderful people.
Some goodbyes are not really endings. You never truly leave a place that has touched your heart.
Thank you, Athens. Thank you, Panathinaikos.
Cedi.”
