Guerschon Yabusele cannot wait to experience the atmosphere at OAKA as a Panathinaikos player.
In the latest episode of his YouTube vlog, titled Summer with the Bear, the French forward discusses the new chapter of his career with Panathinaikos.
The episode includes footage of his arrival in Greece, medical examinations and a tour of OAKA’s facilities. It also features moments from his vacation in Greece alongside Panathinaikos teammate and fellow Frenchman Mathias Lessort.
Speaking about his first impressions of the club, Yabusele highlighted the reception he received from supporters upon landing in Athens and explained how it reinforced his decision to join Panathinaikos.
“It is a club with some of the most passionate fans in the EuroLeague,” Yabusele said. “There were a lot of people at the airport, which was a pleasant surprise. We took some photos and exchanged a few words, and that really confirmed that I had made the right decision.”
The Frenchman then turned his attention to the atmosphere he expects inside OAKA and the significance of beginning a three-year spell with the Greek club.
“I see it as a new chapter. I will spend the next three years here. It is going to be crazy. The fans will be on their feet throughout the game, with banners, chants and drums.”
Yabusele concluded by acknowledging the club’s ambitions and the expectations that will accompany his arrival.
“I really cannot wait for the first game. Panathinaikos has very high ambitions. The fans will expect a lot from us, and we will give them everything.”
