Yam Madar’s EuroLeague registration with Maccabi Tel Aviv has reportedly been delayed by an unresolved financial disagreement with his former club, Hapoel Tel Aviv.

According to Israel’s Sport5, Hapoel must formally release the Israeli guard before Maccabi can register him for the competition. The relevant parties must also sign a document confirming that there are no outstanding financial obligations between them, but they reportedly disagree over the amount involved.

The matter applies only to the EuroLeague and has not prevented Madar from appearing in Maccabi’s preseason games. He played against both Aris and Olympiacos at the tournament in Cyprus.

Madar recorded eight points and seven assists against the reigning European champions after posting nine points and six assists against Aris.

Maccabi and Madar’s agent, Misko Raznatovic, are reportedly working to resolve the issue and finalize his registration.
