French forward Noah Penda suffered a serious injury during the preseason, which will sideline him for an extended period.
As reported by the Orlando Sentinel, Penda suffered a partially torn right hamstring during Friday’s preseason game against the Heat.
It is still unclear how long his recovery will take, as it will depend on how he responds to treatment. However, it’s expected that Penda will be out of action for a considerable time.
Penda was selected in 2025 as the 32nd pick in the NBA Draft by the Boston Celtics, but was immediately traded to Orlando. He played 59 games for the Magic, averaging 3.8 points and 3.2 rebounds.
