Maccabi FOX Tel Aviv announced that they picked up Itay Segev’s contract extension option for the next two seasons.

Segev (2.04 meters, 21 years old) grew up in the Maccabi Tel Aviv youth teams and made his Turkish Airlines Euroleague debut in 2012-13. After that, he moved to Hapoel Holon and after one season there, he then switched to Galil Gilboa, only to return to Maccabi in 2015. Last season, Segev played three Euroleague games averaging less than one point. In the Eurocup, he also played three games, improving his numbers to 5.7 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals.

“This is a happy day for me because Maccabi is much more than a club to me, it’s home.” Segev said after signing the extension. “I want to thank the club owners for their trust in me and I promise I will give it all to return that trust on the court.”
