The decision to release Gal Mekel was only the beggining and Maccabi will present a totally changed roster for next season. And in the case of Landesberg, it seems also that the player, who has a contract for next season, wants out.
According to “Sport5” the door to Ohayon may still be open, if he accepts a new contract with a smaller salary. If not, then Maccabi needs just one more Israeli player in order to complete the only local open spot in its 12-man roster.
Maccabi needs now at least two point guards and it’s obvious that Tyrese Rice is their priority, despite not having a final deal yet with the Israeli club.
