Unicaja announced early today that Giorgi Shermadini will miss the rest of the EuroLeague regular season. With the Andalusians aiming to the best possible result in the Spanish Liga Endesa, Joan Plaza’s team is scanning the market looking for a center, according to Diario Sur.
Jarrod Jones, who has Hungarian passport and plays in Karsiyaka is shining in the Basketball Champions League (19.3 points and 6.5 boards per game). His club owes him part of his salary and this could facilitate his departure to Malaga. Unicaja has also requested the documentation to make sure that Jones’ Hungarian passport is valid.
The club is also collecting information on Croatian Ivan Buva who plays for Istanbul BBS and has experience in ACB with Bilbao Basket. The center is averaging 18.6 points and 6 boards in the Turkish League.
