BELGRADE — “Honestly, I was just doing my job. At the end of the day it all comes down to this”, Trey Thompkins tells Eurohoops after playing a key role in the title game.
Thompkins shared his thoughts on beating Fenerbahce in such circumstances: “It’s special to be here, there’s no feeling like it. Winning the title in such a beautiful city as Belgrade, against a Turkish ‘army’ like that, it feels amazing”.
He also saved a word for this season’s MVP, Luka Doncic: “There won’t be too many more guys that come through Europe like that. I want him to follow his dreams, whatever he decides to do. I’m proud of him and the work he’s done all year”.
