Real Madrid signing Klemen Prepelic

Real Madrid has announced that it has reached an agreement on a two-year deal with Slovenian shooting guard Klemen Prepelic. The player returns to EuroLeague for the first time since his 2012-2013 with Union Olimpija.

Prepelic, 25, had been considered by Real since September 2017, following the player’s performances in the EuroBasket. Prepelic averaged 13.8 points, 2.3 rebounds and 2.3 assists in the tournament and scored 21 in the Final vs. Serbia, to help the Slovenian national team win the gold medal for the first time in the country’s history.

During 2017-2018, Prepelic played with Levallois Metropolitans in France. He averaged 15.7 points in nine EuroCup games and finished the season in Pro A with 15.4 points, 3 assists and 2.8 rebounds per game.
