Panathinaikos crushes Khimki, moves to Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament Final

Panathinaikos lived up to the expectations and routed Khimki 90-63 thanks to a furious second half advancing to the Final of Pavlos Giannakopoulos Tournament.

It was a fairly balanced game during the first half but PAO had the momentum going on the break with a 40-34 lead. The locker room talk didn’t change much as the ‘Green’ kept increasing the advantage throughout the third period (62-50) but then they ‘stepped it up a notch’. They crushed Khimki in the last ten minutes winning the fourth quarter 28-13 and leaving no chance for a comeback to the opponent.

Result by periods: 19-19, 40-34, 62-50, 90-63.
