Pedro Martinez: Trying to get paid the contract I had with Baskonia

By Alex Madrid/ info@eurohoops.net

Pedro Martinez tenure as Baskonia’s coach ended on November 16th. His team’s poor 2018-19 EuroLeague start was the reason the two parties decided to part ways. He since got close to Herbalife Gran Canaria’s head coach position, before his former club (2002-05, 2009-14) decided to go with Victor Garcia for the rest of the season.

The 57-year-old Spaniard coach is still without a club. However he told Radio Manresa that he’s actively trying to secure the money from his contract with Baskonia and awaiting a coaching opportunity.

“Trying to get paid the contract I had. That’s my main objective. At this moment they are not paying and then, later on, I’ll see if there is any work option” Martinez said.
