Dimitris Diamantidis spent eight seasons playing under coach Zeljko Obradovic and the duo led Panathinaikos to 16 trophies – six Greek Cups, seven Greek championships, and three EuroLeague titles.
No doubt, during all those years an inseparable bond developed between the two and Obradovic gave a big amount of credit to the legendary points guard saying ‘he put them in position to fight for everything’ as well as noting that Diamantidis made everybody around him better.
