VITORIA-GASTEIZ — Rodrigue Beaubois talks to Eurohoops before the big final between Anadolu Efes and CSKA Moscow on Sunday.

There’s a strong sense that Baskonia fans will root for Efes in this matchup, if we keep in mind that Shane Larkin has many fans in the city from his time with Baskonia. “I don’t know. I hope so. Definitely, it would be great if we feel their support. I can’t tell you but I really hope so. If they remember that we are back in Vitoria… Please!”, the Frenchman tells Eurohoops. “Shane definitely must have really good memories here because he couldn’t miss. I hope it’s the case and it happens again tomorrow. I’ll try to do better than I did yesterday”, Beaubois mentions for Larkin’s experience in Fernando Buesa Arena.

“We are one game away from the title, so it’s not the time to be nervous. We did a great job yesterday, but we came here to win and there’s one more game to go. We just need to give it all”

As for Efes going from the bottom of standings to the final, Beaubois shares his point of view: “It’s amazing, it’s hard to explain. Last year Efes had a really tough time in Euroleague and this year as soon as we got together we found the chemistry in the locker room, outside of the court. We knew we are a very talented team. If we found that chemistry we knew we were going to be dangerous. Slowly we reached goals: made the playoffs, secure the fourth spot then we made it to the Final Four and now we are in the final. Like I said, one more step. This year can be amazing”

Earlier, Marko Guduric made a comment saying that Fenerbahce will beat Efes in the BSL finals: “Obviously, he is a competitor. Definitely, if we meet them in the finals, we gotta play to win. We know we can beat them and we are gonna be the to win”.
