Brandon Davies move to Barcelona confirmed

Brandon Davies was finalizing a deal with FC Barcelona Lassa. He is now set to join the Spanish club officially. Donatas Urbonas of Lithuanian outlet 15min reported the latest development noting that Davies has signed a two-year contract. The First All-EuroLeague Team member’s wife Lenzie also confirmed it on Instagram mentioning she will move to Barcelona in August.

Davies was already very close to the final agreement, which will seal his move from Zalgiris Kaunas to Barca. He isn’t a free agent, but his current team was fully aware of the talks and will secure a buyout to release him. The deal is expected to be formalized shortly.

The 27-year-old American center debuted in EuroLeague with Zalgiris two years ago. He averaged 9.8 points per match in his first season and improved to 16.9 in his 2018-19 campaign. He also had 12 points per game in the LKL aiding his team extend its dominance in the Lithuanian League.
