CSKA Moscow guard Cory Higgins confirmed that he won’t continue with the Russian team next season. The 29-year-old American player, who becomes a free agent, will sign with Spanish powerhouse Barcelona.

“After I left the court at the end of the game, I hugged my teammates, the president and said goodbye to them. I wanted to show how grateful I am. I can confirm that I’m leaving CSKA. This chapter of my life is closed,” Higgins said per Semen Galkevich.

Higgins scored 23 points in Game 3 of the VTB League Finals against Khimki Moscow to lead his team to the win and the 3-0 sweep in the series.

During the four years he spent with CSKA Moscow, Higgins won two EuroLeague titles (2016, 2019) and four VTB League titles.
