Gigi Datome extended his contract with Fenerbahce Beko through 2022, the club announced. This is the second contract extension of Fenerbahce player these past days, since guard Kostas Sloukas also re-signed with the club.
Datome has played for Fenerbahce since 2015. In his four years with the club, the 31-year-old Italian player has won the Turkish League three times (2016, 2017 and 2018) and Turkish Cup twice (2016, 2019). His crowning achievement with the club arrived in 2017, when Fenerbahce won the first EuroLeague title in the history of the club and Turkish basketball.
In the 2018-2019 EuroLeague, Datome averaged 9.0 points and 3.6 rebounds. He posted 9.1 points in the Turkish BSL League.
