Crvena Zvezda forward Stratos Perperoglou talked to Eurohoops about his decision to extend his contract with the Serbian club and playing under head coach Milan Tomic.

“They (Crvena Zvezda) showed me how much they wanted from the beginning,” Perperoglou told Eurohoops. “Even before the season finished. I had a great time in Belgrade. The fans loved me. The team has goals to continue on a good level. Be competitive in EuroLeague and win more titles. The environment in Crvena Zvezda and the way they treat me keeps thirsty and motivates me. I feel like home.”

“My cooperation with Milan Tomic is excellent and I really appreciate he does with Crvena Zvezda. In his first season, he proved that he has the knowledge and character to a career as head coach,” the veteran Greek player added.

Perperoglou, a three-time EuroLeague champion with Panathinaikos (2009, 2011) and Olympiacos (2013) said that there’s a special bond taking place between the Red Star organization and the team’s supporters.

“I’ve played for many big teams that have a lot of fans but the truth is that the bond the club [Crvena Zvezda] has with the fans is one of the rare ones. It’s a blessing for every player to be part of this relationship.”
