Rochestie, this year’s bomber

Nizhny Novgorod’s Taylor Rochestie was by far the season’s best scorer in the Euroleague, having the highest average of points in the last seven years.

The American guard of the “Cinderella” Nizhny Novgorod who had an excellent run in the Euroleague, got, in total, 397 points in 21 games and with an average of 18,9 per game, he was the top scorer of the season. In total, Andrew Goudelock got the most points, but the honors go to the player with the highest point average in the season up to the Final Four.

So, the Euroleague will award Taylor Rochestie the ‘Alphonso Ford’ Trophy, an award that got its name from the legend of the European courts Alphonso Ford, who won the title of the top scorer two seasons in a row (2001-02) with Peristeri and Olympiacos (with an average of 26 and 24,8 points per game respectively) and who passed away prematurely on the 4th of September 2004.
