Mathias Lessort officially joins Bayern

Mathias Lessort penned a deal with FC Bayern Munich, the German club confirmed via press release on Thursday. The 23-year-old French forward/center is set to make his EuroLeague comeback.

He spent his last season in 7DAYS EuroCup and ACB with Unicaja Malaga. Over 19 EuroCup appearances, Lessort averaged 11 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists, also posted 8.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 1.1 assists per Spanish League contest.

His 2017-18 stint with Crvena Zvezda mts marked his debut season in Europe’s premier competition. Before joining the Serbian club, he launched his professional career in France with Elan Chalon and Nanterre 92.

The above said about his career, the French big was the 50th pick of the 2017 NBA draft. The Philadelphia 76ers selected him, but recently traded his NBA rights to the Los Angeles Clippers.
