FC Bayern Munich defeated Flamengo, 80-72, at Montevideo, Uruguay. Wednesday’s prep game extended the BayWa Basketball Tour 2019 featuring the German’s team first trip overseas.
Nihad Djedovic posted a team-high 17 points in the 2019 NBA G League International Challenge opener, Leon Radosevic followed with 12 and Danilo Barthel notched 11. Greg Monroe contributed to the “W” with 10 points and 5 boards.
Up next for Dejan Radonjic’s team is San Lorenzo on Thursday. Capitanes de Ciudad, Uruguay’s Elite Team and G League’s Elite Team form the other group of the friendly tournament with the G League representatives beating the Mexican club, 86-75, to complete Day 1 action.
