Olimpia Milano signed veteran Argentinian forward Luis Scola, team head coach Ettore Messina announced in a press conference following the Italian League home loss to Brescia, according to multiple reports.

A few minutes later, Milano published an announcement on Scola’s acquisition, mentioning that the player signed a contract with the club for the 2019-2020 season.

Scola’s agent had confirmed that his client is in talks with an “Italian team from EuroLeague,” plus Real Madrid and Boca Juniors a couple of days ago. Now 39-year-old Scola, a former All-EuroLeague player, is back in the competition for the first time since his stint with Baskonia in 2006 – 2007.

Earlier this month, Scola helped lead Argentina to claim the silver medal in the FIBA World Cup by averaging 17.9 points and 8.1 rebounds.
