Last night’s game against Barcelona was the end of the journey for Laboral Kutxa in the season. Now the Basques’ coach Velimir Perasovic is ready to pack his bags for Istanbul and Anadolu Efes with a contract for two seasons.

According to Eurohoops sources, Efes is going to pay the sum of 350.000 euros to Laboral Kutxa for Perasovic since he had signed an extension until 2017 on February. Because there was no buy out in that deal, the two sides had to arrange a price that would release the Croatian coach from his contract.

With Perasovic at the helm, Laboral Kutxa made it to the 2016 Euroleague Final Four, a huge accomplishment considering the team’s budget, especially in comparison with the other teams that made it to Berlin for the tournament. The management of Anadolu Efes chose the 51-year old coach to lead the Turkish team this kind of success, one that has been the team’s goal for many years.
