Saric: “I gave to Sixers my word”

Finally the wait for Dario Saric is over for the Sixers. It was not exactly the best kept secret, but finally the player himself confirmed that he is leaving Europe for the NBA.

As the portal “Slobodna Dalmacija” reports and CroSports twitter account translated, Saric is ready to go: “I have a contract for one more year, Anadolu  Efes and (ed.note: Croatian coach) Perasovic wants me to stay, but I gave them (ed.note: Sixers) my word. My word means more than a paper”.

After all, Saric’s contract includes this summer an NBA buy out close, something that was not available during the summer of 2015, and after two seasons in Istanbul he is ready to go. Saric was the 12th pick of the 2014 NBA draft and he confirmed his move to the Croatian media just before the departure of the Croatian national team for Italy and the pre-Olympic qualification tournament in Turin.
