Bourousis and PAO beat CSKA Moscow

The point of the “Diamonds Are Forever” tournament were not the games, but Diamantidis. Still the Greens got the 80-73 win over Euroleague champion CSKA Moscow and ended the feast for 3D on a high note.

 

Giannis Bourousis with 18 points left the charge for the winners, Nick Calathes added 12 points and also two more newcomers, Mike James and Chris Singleton did their part with 8 points each.

For CSKA Moscow, James Augustin (18 p.) and Nando De Colo (13 p.) were the leading scorers, Milos Teodosic once more demonstrated his genius and with the game being a sample of the Euroleague season to come, things are looking good for the top level of European basketball.

The game was decided in the last minutes with Bourousis giving a crucial 76-71 lead to the Greens with two minutes left. Panathinaikos closed the game the right way and Diamantidis can be happy for his heirs.  After all, despite the result CSKA Moscow honored Diamantidis in the end with club president Andrey Vatutin awarding him.
