Crvena Zvezda survives thriller game against Igokea

After the sixth week in the Adriatic league, Crvena Zvezda is still undefeated, after conquering Igokea with 68-66.

Back to back champions Crvena Zvezda survived Igokea after a tricky third quarter during which the visitors kept the Red and Whites at just 7 points while scoring 20. A few missed threes in the final 2 minutes of the game when Zvezda was desperately looking for a safety net weren’t able to help Igokea finally seize the game under its control. The hosts showed tremendous skill in defense in the last seconds of the game and sealed the victory.

For the winners, Bjelica had 15 points and 9 rebounds, with Jenkins and Dangubic following with 9 points each.

Budocnost also counts six wins after outplaying Mornar in the local derby at its own homecourt.

Cibona achieved another triumph on the road, this time against Olimpija Ljubljana and their fifth win of the season in six games played. Thanks to great performances of Sakic and Zizic. Partizan remains undefeated, after another well-fought game and a victory on the road against FMP.

Crvena Zvezda and Buducnost lead the standings with 6-0.
