Brose Bamberg easily prevails over Vechta on the road

Brose Bamberg beat Vechta on the road 68-96 in the 20th week of the German league. Andrea Trinchieri’s team is now second in the standings, behind Ulm that still holds a perfect record in the league.

Led by Jerel McNeal’s 18 points and 5 assists, as well as Patrick Heckmann’s 16, the hosts were totally dominant in the second half and made it a fairly easy game in the end.

When Vechta dropped the deficit to 10 points by the end of the third period (51-61), Bamberg held on to the game and accelerated, not leaving a chance to the hosts for a comeback. Scoring a total of 27 points in the final period was crucial for the visitors who also managed to play perfect defense and allowed only 13 points by their opponents, setting the foundations for an important win.
