Iberostar Tenerife swingman Dejan Todorovic suffered a scary injury during Sunday’s (6/9) preseason game of his team against fellow Spanish side Estudiantes.
In the 11th minute of the game, Todorovic ran the fast break to finish a play with a dunk and Estudiantes’ Alec Brown fouled him midair while trying to block him. Todorovic fell badly to the ground screaming in pain and immediately began holding his right knee. The game was suspended.
So far there hasn’t been an update by Tenerife on Todorovic. If the seriousness of the injury is confirmed, then the player will be out for a lengthy period of time.
UPDATE: Upon medical examination, Tenerife announced that Todorovic suffered from a torn ACL on his left knee and he is expected to undergo surgery in the coming days.
