Seven Nizhny players test positive for coronavirus

Nizhny Novgorod announced that seven players of the team tested positive for coronavirus prior to the planned Basketball Champions League season opener of the team vs. Falco (21/10). The players are in isolation and with “mild symptoms,” the club says.

The rest of the team is in quarantine that began on October 21.

The BCL game of Nizhny vs. Falco will be rescheduled for a later date per the competition’s COVID-19 protocol. The Russian team is currently in discussions with the VTB League regarding the postponement of its upcoming games.
