Casademont Zaragoza had a chance to go 4-0 and secure a playoff spot, however, Falco Szombathely put on a late surge to win 94-86 and ruin the Spaniards’ celebrations.

Zaragoza stayed at 3-1 in Basketball Champions League Group D while Falco improved to 2-2 with this victory.

Kyan Anderson was the leader of the winning side with 25 points as well as nine assists while Zoltan Perl added 17 in addition to Szilard Benke and Evan Bruinsma’s 15 points each.

For Zaragoza, Jason Thompson logged 23 points and eight rebounds followed by Dylan Ennis with 18 and Nicolas Brussino with ten points.

The Spanish team had a good start, leading by 11 points (37-26) early on but Falco quickly responded to cut the gap to the minimum at halftime (50-49).

Zaragoza had an upper hand in the second half as well, however, the home team stayed close (84-81) and made three straight triples starting from the four-minute mark to turn things around and steal the win.
