Happy Casa Brindisi had fallen in somewhat of a slump when D’Angelo Harrison got sidelined, however, the Italian team seems to be recovering as they logged three straight wins across all competitions. The latest came with 77-75 at home against Tofas in the Basketball Champions League.

With this win, Brindisi improved to 2-1 in Group I while at the same time handed Tofas its third loss and the Turkish team will have to step up big time to catch up.

Josh Bostic led all the scorers with 21 points on 8-11 shooting while Nick Perkins logged a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Derek Willis added 13 and Darius Thompson 11 points.

For Todas, Tomislav Zubcic scored 19 followed by Tarik Phillip with 18 and Semaj Christon with 15 points.

While the teams went back and forth throughout the game, Brindisi had an upper hand most of the time and was up by 11 points (73-62) in teh fourth quarter.

Tofas put on one last comeback effort, and a serious one at that, as they cut the gap to just two points in the end, however, Christon missed a couple of opportunities to tie the game – from deep as well as from the free-throw line.
