Chris Johnson extended his contract with Hapoel Unet-Credit Holon until the end of the 2021-22 season, the Israeli team announced Monday.

“I am very excited to continue to be purple for another year,” said the former Dayton standout, “I feel good and comfortable here, the coaches are doing a great job of exemplifying my abilities. We are going through a great season and I am already looking forward to the next season. I want to compliment my teammates for their constant effort without taking anything for granted.”

Johnson, 30, joined Holon last August for his second stint in Israel following the 2018-19 campaign at Hapoel Jerusalem. He has also played in France after making his way to 147 NBA games between the Utah Jazz, Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Memphis Grizzlies.

In his second Basketball Champions League season, the American swingman has averaged 13.4 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.3 steals, 1.2 assists, and 0.8 blocks helping the team in the search for a Final 8 berth. He also has 15 points per Winner League contest at the domestic level.
