Pinar Karsiyaka penned Bonzie Colson to a one-year contract, the team announced Saturday. The arrival of the former Notre Dame standout lifts the Turkish side among the strong Basketball Champions League favorites.

Colson, 25, was named MVP in the BCL and in France’s Jeep Elite Pro A last season with SIG Strasbourg. He averaged 18.2 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 1.2 steals, and 0.7 blocks per BCL match, and 18.4 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per domestic game in his spectacular season.

The American forward, born in Washington D.C., logged eight NBA appearances alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo at the Milwaukee Bucks during his first pro season. He moved on to Darussafaka for the 2019-20 season and signed with Strasbourg last summer.

Prior to the biggest Champions League move of the offseason, James Blackmon Jr., Can Korkmaz, and Berkan Durmaz made their way to the team based in Izmir.
