Sasu Salin stays with Tenerife for two more years

Sasu Salin and Lenovo Tenerife have had successful cooperation for the past two years and have agreed to a new deal for the upcoming two years as well.

Per Lenovo Tenerife:

Sasu Salin 2023. Finnish guard Sasu Salin will continue to wear the Lenovo Tenerife colors until the end of the 2022-23 season, after renewing his commitment to the Canarian club for two more seasons.

The 2020/21 was Salin’s second season (Helsinki, 06/11/1991) at the club. The guard played during this last year a total of 39 games in the ACB, with an average of 8.2 points per game; 40.3% in three-point shots, with two triples per game on average; and 88.4% from the free-throw line, making him one of the most reliable shooters in terms of percentages from the 6.75 line in the Endesa League.

In the Basketball Champions League he played twelve games scoring 12.8 points per game with 45.9% accuracy from long distance (34/74), in addition to excelling in free throws with 29/30 for 96.7% of success, highlighting the regular season game against Galatasaray in Istanbul where he scored 34 points with 8/11 from three and 6/6 from free throws.

Trained at Espoon Honka in Finland, Salin joined the Slovenian Union Olimpia in Ljubljana in 2010, to later make the leap to the Endesa League with Herbalife Gran Canaria (2015-17) and Unicaja Málaga (2017-19), before arriving at Lenovo Tenerife in the 2019-20 season.
