The 2021 Basketball Champions League meeting of the competition’s head coaches took place in Switzerland.

Per FIBA:

The Basketball Champions League hosted its annual Head Coach meeting from Monday to Tuesday at the Patrick Baumann House of Basketball.

Welcomed by FIBA Secretary General, Andreas Zagklis, the workshop was attended by Head Coaches of the teams that qualified directly to the Regular Season. The meeting covered diverse subjects and served the purpose to create a forum where opinions can be discussed, experiences shared, evaluations and suggestions collected. Future projects and game operation developments were also presented during the workshop.

“As a truly inclusive event, the Basketball Champions League is a competition organized by and for the clubs, and our constant aim is to service them at the highest level. I am therefore delighted to welcome our Head Coaches here in Geneva. This provides the opportunity to discuss and listen to their opinion, which will certainly help us to develop our competition further,” said Patrick Comninos, CEO of the Basketball Champions League.

At this occasion, Txus Vidorreta received a special award for becoming the first Coach to reach 50 wins in the Basketball Champions League.

The sixth season of the Basketball Champions League tips off with the Regular Season starting on October 4, 2021, when the reigning champions Hereda San Pablo Burgos will face Besiktas Icrypex as the inaugural game of the new season.
The Qualification Round Tournaments will be played on September 13-18, 2021 in four locations: Peristeri (GRE), Treviso (ITA), Tallinn (EST), and Sofia (BUL).
