Giorgi Shermadini has been diagnosed with a transverse process fracture in the right lumbar area which will keep him out for five to six weeks, Lenovo Tenerife announced.

Shermadini suffered the injury in the Spanish league clash against Bilbao Basket in which he banked in 20 points despite the injury stopping him from finishing the game.

Per Lenovo Tenerife:

Gio Shermadini suffers a transverse process fracture in the right lumbar area, as a result of the blow suffered in the clash last Saturday against Surne Bilbao Basket, which already deprived him of playing the final stretch of the match.

The player is already in the hands of the club’s medical and recovery services. The estimated time of withdrawal will be five to six weeks depending on its evolution.
