Jarrell Eddie couldn’t play in SIG Strasbourg’s Basketball Champions League opener against Kalev/Cramo due to injury and he will be out for the next two to three months with a lower back injury. The team worked out a replacement, signing Tony Crocker to a contract.

“We needed to react quickly and it’s done. I am satisfied. Tony is a player with a winning character, strong on offense and we needed that kind of profile to replace Jarell’s talent. We were looking for a player who is not afraid to take on big responsibilities and also to be a leader in attack. Tony has proven in the past, and especially in the Euroleague, that he can take big shots. I saw him play the first time in 2011. It was my first season as a coach and I still remember his match against us… Since then, I have followed his career and I am very happy that he join our team,” coach Lassi Tuovi said.

The 34-year-old spent the last season in Australia with Adelaide 36ers, averaging 10.8 points over 24 games. He played for Hapoel Holon, Tofas, Khimki, and Pinar Karsiyaka throughout his career.
