Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Jordan Bone lead Besiktas to comeback win

The duo of former NBAers that Besiktas Icrypex signed this past summer has started to pay off as Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and Jordan Bone were the most responsible for the team’s come-from-behind 83-81 win over EWE Baskets Oldenburg.

Hollis-Jefferson put up 21 points, nine rebounds, and three assists while Bone followed with 18 points. Both of them shot around 60% from the field. Dedrick Lawson helped with 15 and Trevon Bluiett with 13 points.

For the German side, Tai Odiase scored 14 and Rickey Paulding 15 points.

Oldenburg was off to a strong start and secured a 52-43 lead at halftime, however, Besiktas blew them away after the break with a 15-1 run which got them back into the game and gave enough momentum to keep things going until the very end.

Oldenburg did make it a one-possession game and had a chance to win but Paulding couldn’t make his slightly off-balanced three-pointer go in at the buzzer.

This outcome has made Group H very interesting as all teams now have 1-1 records. Rytas earlier in the day took down the back-to-back champions San Pablo Burgos.
