Basketball Champions League quarterfinals pairings set

The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao was the host of the Basketball Champions League quarterfinals and semifinal draw that determined the four pairs of the next round, as well as the structure of the upcoming Final Four, hosted by the Spanish city May 6-8!

The quarterfinals pairs are the following:

  1. BAXI Manresa vs. Unicaja
  2. Lenovo Tenerife vs. Tofas Bursa
  3. Hapoel U-NET Holon vs. SIG Strasbourg
  4. U-BT Cluj Napoca vs. MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg

The draw also determined the format of the semifinals, which goes as follows:

Winner of U-BT Cluj-Napoca/MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg vs. Winner of BAXI Manresa/Unicaja
Winner of Hapoel U-NET Holon/SIG Strasbourg vs. Winner of Lenovo Tenerife/Tofas Bursa

Draw for the Quarter-Finals

For the purposes of the Draw, the eight qualified clubs have been ranked according to their final position within their respective Round of 16 group and their place in the Draw was based on this ranking. The teams having finished 1st of their Round of 16 group were placed in Pot 1, and the teams having finished 2nd of their Round of 16 group were placed in Pot 2.

The Quarter-Finals will be played in a best-of-3 series and start on April 5. The seeded teams will play their first (and potential third) game at home, the unseeded teams will play their second game at home. The four winning clubs will qualify for the Final 4. The complete Quarter-Finals game schedule will be communicated next week.
