The Huertas-Shermadini duo helps Tenerife dominate Bnei Herzliya

After blowing Bnei Herzliya out on the road on Gameday 3 of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, Lenovo Tenerife gets another easy victory against the Israeli team, winning 83-63.

Marcelinho Huertas and Giorgi Shermadini had the umpteenth decisive game for Txus Vidorreta’s team.

The Brazilian point guard had 16 points and 9 assists, while the Georgian center became the third-best all-time scorer in BCL history after ending the game with 18 points and 7 rebounds.

Sasu Salin added 12 points with 4/9 from the three-point line.

On the losing side, Maurice Kemp was the best on Oren Aharoni’s team, scoring 15 points and grabbing 4 rebounds while being perfect at the charity stripe (7/7).

Chris Babb added 14 points and 4 rebounds, while Julian Gamble had 10 points against his former team.

This is Lenovo Tenerife’s 14th win in the last 15 BCL games and the 27th home win in the last 29 games in the European competition. It’s also the first time that Bnei Herzliya lose back-to-back BCL games.

The home side made things clear since the beginning, being up 34-14 after the first ten minutes. They shot way better than the opponents both inside the area (60.71% vs 42.42%) and from the perimeter (38.39% vs 30%).

With this impressive victory, Lenovo Tenerife temporarily gets the first spot in Group H with a 3-1 record, waiting for Peristeri’s game against Rytas Vilnius. Bnei Herzliya is on the bottom with only one win in four encounters.
